Completion of FÁS Community Enterprise Educational Programme by a group of local persons.
1993
Formation in May of this year of Cappoquin Community Development Company limited by guarantee with charitable status.
Carried out premises audit of Cappoquin town.
1994
Purchased derelict property in Main St and renovated for use as Company Office. This was subsequently sold and is now a residential property.
Constructed of a new slipway and quay wall at Twig Bog with grant from Waterford Leader Partnership.
Carried out Preliminary survey of the Flora and Fauna at Glenshellane Wood in association with Coillte.
1995
Prepared Development Plan for Glenshellane Wood in association with Coillte.
Prepared Cappoquin Town Development Plan in association with Waterford Co Council. This was the first such plan to be carried out in a town in the county outside of the scheduled towns of Dungarvan, Tramore, Lismore and Portlaw.
1996
Purchased 4 acres of land on Melleray Road for residential development. This land was subsequently zoned and sold to a developer for construction of 27 dwellings now Abbeyglen Estate.
Establishment of Town Twinning with Chanat la Mouteyre in France.
Facilitated purchase by Waterford Co Council of derelict properties in Barrack St for refurbishment as local authority housing.
Prepared amenity proposals for Twig Bog.
Prepared an extensive report on the tourism potential of Cappoquin and surrounding area and submitted this to Waterford Tourism Ltd.
Initiated development of the town Square in association with Waterford Co Council.
Prepared proposals for the development of fishing facilities on the River Blackwater in association with Waterford Co Council and submitted these to Dept of Marine for funding.
1997
Purchased former Calmark factory and converted it into 2 enterprise units for leasing to entrepreneurs.
Established Tidy Team in Girls NS and promoted Anti-litter campaign.
Facilitated meetings of Boards of Management of both National Schools with the aim of establishing a new combined national school which opened in 2004.
1998
Constructed free public car park at Twig Bog in conjunction with Waterford Co Council.
Prepared local tourism brochure in association with local business interests.
1999
Prepared and published a Millennium project “Cappoquin – A Walk Through History”, the first comprehensive history of the area to be published.
Prepared a report on Planting proposals and landscaping improvements on approach roads to Cappoquin.
In association with Waterford Co Council prepared “Cappoquin Town Renewal Plan” (prepared by CAAS Environmental Services)
2000
Prepared “The Challenge – Cappoquin enters the new millennium” brochure to promote interest in the proposal to construct a multi functional Community Centre in the town.
Constructed 6 additional Enterprise Units at IDA Industrial Estate, Carrigeen to assist local start up businesses.
Signed official Twinning Charter with representatives of Chanat la Mouteyre.
Prepared a report on alternative to St Anne’s Secondary School.
2001
Prepared a Feasibility Study for the construction of a Community Centre in the town.
Received Planning Permission for construction of Community Centre.
Prepared Social Economy Business Plan for Cappoquin.
Set up Company website.
2002
Prepared contract documents and completed tender process for construction of Community Centre.

2003
Began construction of Community Centre.
Produced a brochure entitled “Cappoquin – Build a better future together” to the Company’s achievements and proposals for the construction of the Community Centre.
2004
Prepared Street landscaping proposals for Cappoquin.

Carried out a Building Energy Analysis report on the Community Centre.
2006
Opened Cappoquin Childcare Facility in Community Centre.
Prepared Traffic Management Plan for town in association with Waterford Co Council
2007
Cavanagh Community Centre officially opened. At a cost of €3.2M this was the largest ever financial investment and infrastructure development in Cappoquin. It is also the largest multi functional community centre in Co Waterford. It contains a childcare service which provides a service for up to 100 children per week, a training and educational centre incorporating a dedicated IT room, meeting rooms, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a gymnasium, a multipurpose sports hall accommodating 4 badminton courts. The sports hall also converts to a theatre with a seating capacity of 750 persons and has a large stage area.
Prepared proposals for new Housing for Elderly development at Shanbally.
2008
All Island Pride of Place awards ceremony took place in Community Centre attended by President Mary McAleese. 500 persons representative of communities in each of the 32 counties and islands of the coast attended a seated banquet at this awards ceremony.
Submitted application for Primary Care Centre in the town.
2009
Prepared Cappoquin Town Design Statement in conjunction with CJ Falconer Architects, Town Planners and Associates.
Prepared Glenshellane Recreation Area report in association with Coillte and Waterford Co Council.
2010
Community Centre hosted Brendan Grace, Christy Moore, Ml Collins band, Munster and Waterford Scór finals, West Waterford Hospice dance and Macra na Feirme drama.
2011
Community Centre hosted Brendan Bowyer, Ml Collins band, West Waterford Hospice dance, Waterford Co Badminton, Waterford and Munster Scór finals and Sean Kelly cycle tour.
2012
Community Centre hosted Keith Barry Show, the All Stars show, Ms Cappoquin contest, West Waterford Hospice dance, Sean Kelly cycle tour, Munster and Waterford badminton and Munster and Waterford Scór.
2013
Community Centre hosted Brendan Grace, Keith Barry, Declan Nerney dance, Ml Collins band, Crystal Swing dance, West Waterford Hospice dance, Munster and Waterford Scór, Sean Kelly cycle tour, Munster and Waterford badminton finals and Macra na Feirme drama.
2014
Carried out premises audit of town.
Community Centre hosted Ml Collins dance, Tommy Tiernan, Mike Denver, Mario Rosenstock, Neven Maguire cookery, Annie musical, Munster and Waterford Scor, Munster and Waterford badminton finals and Sean Kelly cycle tour.
2015
Signed contract with Waterford Wexford Educational Training Board (WWETB) for the provision of Adult Education and Literacy courses in the Community Centre.
Community Centre hosted Nathan Carter, Ml Collins dance, Phil Coulter, Dungarvan Lions Club Jigs and Reels, Munster and Waterford scór, West Waterford Hospice dance, National Referendum voting centre and Sean Kelly cycle tour.
2016
In association with Waterford City and Co Council developed new town park in the Twig Bog overlooking the River Blackwater.
Community Centre hosted Kilfenora Céile band, Cappoquin Goes Country, Dungarvan Lions Club Jigs and Reels, West Waterford Hospice dance and National Election polling station.
2017
Community Centre hosted Keith Barry, Pat Short, Sharon Shannon, Neil Delamere, Dungarvan Lion’s Club Jigs and Reels, Irish Blood Transfusion, Munster and Waterford Scór, Poling Station and First Communion Breakfast. Participated in Blueway investigation and St Declan’s way development.
2018
Completed construction of extension to gymnasium at a cost of €105,000. Produced a survey of vacant and derelict properties in Cappoquin. In association with Waterford City and County Council and Waterford Leader Partnership prepared a report “Addressing Vacancy and Dereliction in Cappoquin”
1993 to 2016
